cold spell

Let's talk about the weather. Let's not talk about the weather....

cold spell

I see that according to the weather bulletins I receive that it's kinda cold there at night lately.
TEMPERATURES:
HIGHS(TODAY) COASTAL 27C/80F INLAND 29C/84F
LOWS(TONIGHT) COASTAL 20C/68F INLAND 16C/60F
60F would have to be cold, as I recall when I was there a few times ago one eve on AC after dinner (maybe the blood went to my stomach to digest) I went outside to have a smoke on the beach, and was shivering. I went back inside & said man it's cold! I was glad I had a hooded sweatshirt/jacket to put on. After we walked back to our place I looked at the thermometer & it said 72! & thought whoa! back home this would be a summertime evening. We had gotten accustomed to the temp there being regularly being in the 80's low 90's & weren't breaking a sweat unless we did something physical. If it had been 60 that night I'd have wanted to order extra blankets!

Right now here it's almost 6pm & it's 48F. I was outside raking up piles of debris from our fir trees left after the last windstorm, & I had to remove my coat cause I was working up a sweat.

It's crazy how you body gets used to a certain place so what seems hot in one place is cold to someone in a warmer place. I know one thing for sure is that when I'm in Bz, I don't have nearly the same amount of aches & pains in my back that I do here. I need to take a hot shower here to get the same effect of being more limber. So you guys who are living there can rejoice in the fact that you're lucky not to have to deal with extra blankets too often.

We had a couple of sunrise shoots here (bikini) with professional models this week. Our poor model yesterday got into the pool without complaint with her teeth chattering and lips turning blue. We got the shot and admire her amazing strength. She didn't complain once.

yep, it's been a wee bit nippley hereabouts of late.

not blue-lips cold, but long-johns and flannel jammies cold.

:hsheep:

glad I brought 'em, was told I'd never need 'em, but... our house is designed to stay cool in hot weather, and the only drawback is... when it's chilly out, so am I.
