Well it looks as though my plan of going in early March isn't going to materialize due to our current financial situation, and Deb's mother's (87) major health difficulties requires our presence for who knows how long.

Oh well family comes first, I guess, but I can't help but be a little disappointed. This gives me the opportunity to take care of a lot of domestic responsibilities that haven't been possible while I was working, and to better prepared for an inevitable trip down there to pave our way.
Tomorrow is the last day of my employ as a school district employee. 21 yrs

seems to have gone by pretty quick. I'm enjoying a sip or two of Crown Royal as I write--a nice going away gift from my co-workers along with 10 rounds of golf at a local course here. I really had planned to slip out unnoticed, but I was taken by surprise with pies, ice cream, balloons, goofy hats, costumes, & etc. Even the school super showed up, my wife and family members, and found myself having to get filmed, pictured, and make a speech. I was touched, & certainly didn't expect it. It seems other people think more of me than I thought, but I've been told I'm pretty dense that way. Anyway it was nice, & I'm grateful for having been put up with, and for the retirement & pension $$. I will miss the kindergarten kids the most, as they are so cute, funny, & still innocent. I'm glad we didn't have a daughter, cause I would've been wrapped around her finger big time.
Sorry for being off topic.

I'd like to see one of the Ruta Maya races. Hope you guys have fun. Later,
Kurt
