Can you tell us who your contractor is and did you do your own set of plans?
I have hundreds of pix of our house under construction too bad we didn't have a digital camera then.

Looks good.

The two contractors are Bernabe Burgos and Carlos Garcia. We had some plans I sketched out on paper, but then after looking at some of the houses they built I changed a few things because I liked some other features. When Phil went down there last month they went over everything inch by virtual inch to finalize the plans and also went to Belize sity and picked out everything including tile, paint, fans, and lighting. Phil's the wheeler-dealer in this family, not me! I'd be like "Zircon-encrusted toilet seat?? Suuurrree! Sounds good to me!!" :lol:

How exciting for you all. Congratulations on your progress.
Is it OK to be a little jealous????? Just a wee bit??

When we tease the lil Fizzster, about having to go to school in Belize, he immediately replies....."Belize is JUST our vacation home, we aren't going to live there!"

So Cat......is that what your chickens, goats, and cattle say??

Good luck with your plans. It looks like a cozy little spot.
But now I know the things I know,.....And do the things I do;

thanks Anita! We'll keep that property for a few years and enjoy it. We are young (relatively, 42 and 47 almost respectively), so cant retire anytime real soon, but we plan to buy land(15-20 acres) in Cayo too, and then sell the beach place and retire to a Cayo farm.
